In our pursuit to locate a Napa or Sonoma Chardonnay that was well-balanced with just the right amount of oak, we had found ourselves being in a price category that defied our mission of quality yet sensibly priced wines.
What we were the most impressed with was that this wine comes from Dijon clones which were the Chardonnay cuttings that came from Burgundy France. This is a tough West Coast Chardonnay to be given the quality and price level.
