Pinotage is a rather unique grape varietal as it has never been created by mother nature. This savory grape is the product of taking two grapes from France and genetically bonding them to create a South African red wine that is exclusively theirs.
The two grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Cinsault creating a combination of flavors that have a sense of Burgundy and the Rhône valley.
