Sizies is a parcel dominated by clay and tends to produce a generous, fruity and open wine that is friendly in its youth. The family considers Sizies to be the "introduction to De Montille."
Open and expressive, the 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Les Sizies bursts with aromas of cherries, smoked meats and forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a succulent core of fruit that's framed by supple, powdery tannins. This should drink well young.
