Late Bottle vintage ports are created from port that was not used in the final selection for the vintage ports for the estate. They are offered to the market earlier than the vintage offerings that remain in cask for additional aging.
Late Bottle ports offer the estate more immediate income and provide for the consumer earlier drinking yet very satisfying enjoyment at often 1/3 the price of the vintage ports from the same estate. Fresh dark fruit aromas and flavors delight the senses especially when accompanied with Manchego and blue veined cheeses and Quince.
